When you think about awesome volunteers, you have to think about Marilyn Hrbek. Marilyn is a dedicated volunteer that has been supporting Alley Cat Advocates for the last 9 years. As a lifelong cat lover, Marilyn was well aware of the problems that community cats face. She joined Alley Cat Advocates to make a difference in their lives and the lives of people that love them. Marilyn works in many volunteer roles and is quick to jump in to help whenever and wherever needed. Helping the cats have better lives is Marilyn’s favorite part of volunteering with Alley Cat Advocates, but she considers it a bonus to work with “dedicated staff, volunteers and caretakers.” Marilyn considers herself and her two cats to be retired, but she does volunteer work most every day at Alley Cats Advocates or one of her other commitments. She also makes it a point stretch her legs with a long walks and she stays in touch with her group of friends with visits, phone calls and emails.
