No lip fillers are needed here. Daisy came to the Community Cat Complex with some pretty severe rodent ulcers that had her lips very swollen.
Rodent ulcers have nothing to do with rodents. The actual cause is not completely clear, but veterinarians believe that it may be caused by an allergic reaction to something in the environment, which can even be fleas!
Usually, there is mild swelling and an ulceration that looks like a little sore on the mouth area. Daisy’s case is definitely severe, but thankfully rodent ulcers don’t seem to be very painful to cats.
Daisy has been getting treatment and is feeling (and looking) much better. But the weeks of care to get her better do come at a cost. You can help by donating toward Daisy’s care today!
