Autumn O’Neal joined Alley Cat Advocates in 2018 as the Community Cat Outreach Coordinator. Through the Operation Target Kentucky grant, Autumn worked closely with many surrounding counties’ animal control officers and shelter staff to help them build return to field and trap neuter return programs in their communities. Autumn is also responsible for social media and website communications and the Education and Community Outreach Team (ECOT). She acts as the assistant to the executive director and also fills in during surgery in the recovery area. Autumn has always felt a connection to animals and co-founded the Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter, a non-profit organization that supports the local shelter where she lives. She is the go to for all things cat among friends, family and beyond. Autumn considers her work with Alley Cat Advocates to be a dream job and loves the work she does. Autumn lives in Elizabethtown with her husband and two children, Dugan and Jillianna. While at any given time the family may be fostering one or two litters of kittens the permanent residents include two senior small dogs and five house cats ranging from 16 years old to under 1 year. The family is also privileged by the presence of a buff community cat called Buddy, who has recently made their back yard home.
