April Zirnheld and her family hosted the first annual Bernie’s Buddies 5k walk/run through Iroquois park on November 8th.
The event honored Bernard Abell, April’s father and a life-long animal lover.
Bernie’s Buddies donated over $1100 in proceeds to Alley Cat Advocates. This gift will help Alley Cat Advocates to provide spay or neuter and vaccinations to 22 more community cats this year.
Mr. Abell was known and loved by our team as a wonderful gaurdian and advocate for community cats. He is missed and we are so honored to be a part of his beautiful legacy.
