Board Member Spotlight: Kelly Neat, DVM

Dr. Kelly Neat began volunteering for Alley Cat Advocates in 2009, the same year she moved to Louisville and graduated from Veterinary school, participating in Big Fix events. In 2018, she joined the Alley Cat Advocates Board of Directors. Kelly plans to continue to help as a volunteer when her three-year term as a board member ends this winter. As a board member and volunteer, Kelly loves working directly with the animals that ACA serves, helping with spays and neuters, and cat care. She also loves talking with people about the amazing and positive impact of Alley Cat Advocates on our community. She says, “It feels great to be part of such a unique and important organization.” Kelly loves to cook and go on nature walks through Cherokee Park with her husband Ben and children, Cora and Joseph. Kelly’s children share her love of animals as you can see from the names of the family’s many pets including cats – Trevor, Bret, Treasure Shell Crystal, Tina, and Bells, dogs – Duncan and Darla, the rat – Mr. Rat, and goats – Bucky and Rocket Ship.)
