Karen Little of Old Louisville admits she’s become obsessed with controlling the stray cat population.

Her aim, through the Alley Cat Advocates volunteer group she founded with her husband 12 years ago, is to prevent needless euthanasia of her feline friends. To that end, the group recently passed the 20,000 mark for the number of strays it has rounded up and had neutered or spayed, working in Jefferson, Bullitt and Oldham counties and Southern Indiana.
